Student led conferences with New entrants

My mum came to student led conference. I showed her the class, and my books, and my work on my iPad. I showed her Sunshine classics and my Explain Everything work. My mum also spoke to the health nurse in Tongan. I like showing my work.

Role Model Assembly Robert Rakete

Our Role Model was Robert Rakete.

Robert Rakete is a busy dad with a blended family of 5 children.
His wife Nikki is a teacher and they both know how important books are in a home.
Rob has been a breakfast show host on the radio in Auckland for nearly 24 years,
as part of the team that started MAI FM before moving to The Breeze.
He is also an occasional Wiggle - The Brown Wiggle - and has appeared with them on CD,
stage, and TV.

Robert was also in Dancing with the Stars. We have been really lucky to have him come to our school to
talk to us about the importance of Reading and how it has helped him.
