Ready, Set, Go

This week we went to Kelly Sports for our first Ready, Set, Go lesson. We had fun learning to balance and playing games with our coaches.

Duffy Books

This week we visited our school library to choose our duffy books. We also had some time to sit in the whare and read our favourite books with each other.

Greedy Cat


 On Thursday we went to watch Greedy Cat at Mangere Arts Centre. Our favourite part was when he ate all the food and got really fat.

Safety Management

 This term our inquiry is all about safety. We have been learning how to keep ourselves safe at home and at school. We have also been learning about people that help keep us safe. Today we had the ambulance at our school to help one of the students who had been hurt. The paramedics put on their lights and siren for us.

Panmure Bridge School Library

 Room 1 loves going to the school library and reading in different areas of the library. At library time we listen to a story and also get to read any book we want. We have been learning about the different parts of a book and the different sections in the library. My favourite is the picture books and reading in the Reading whare. by Kiedes.

IPads

 Today we all received our iPads. We learnt how to hug hold and walk safely with our ipads. Mrs MIllward showed us Sunshine classics and EE. We can listen to stories and practise our reading and writing.

Cook Island Language Week

 


Room 1 enjoyed working with Room 2 in celebrating Cook Island language week.  They made beautiful headbands and learnt a cook island dance.

This week we were learning how to be make friends and how to share. We read the story the Rainbow Fish. We had lots of fun colouring and painting our under the sea class display.

Matariki

This week we have been learning about Matariki and the seven sisters. To celebrate the Maori New Year Whae Odie donated sausages and the whole school got to have a sausage sizzle.
