Lockdown Online Learning Week 1

 Nice to see some awesome work being done at home for our first week in lockdown learning.  Keep up the awesome work and I hope to see some more work coming through next week Room 2.  Be kind and stay safe.

Flying Fives

Favourite Number

 For maths week we got to decorate our favourite number. Which numbers are odd? And which numbers are even?

Maths Week

This week is maths week. We have been doing a daily challenge lots of sorting, and language based learning experiences.
 

Pukapuka Week

 

This week is book week at school. We got to borrow all the brand new books from the school library. The bear in the window is about finding bears in lockdown. We also got to borrow lots of Pamela Anderson books. 

Bubbles the Mouse.

 

Bubbles the mouse came to school to visit the junior classrooms.  We found out that he likes to eat seeds,  swing on the swing and climb up his ladder. He also had long whiskers and red eye. 

Simple Machine

 We made a simple machine “wheels and axel” 

Simple Machines

We found simple machines in the classroom.  We are learning to remember the names of the simple machines that we found. 

 

Taniwha’s

We read “ Where is Taniwha?” We traced around a taniwha and tried to stay on the black lines. We used cooking paper as tracing paper.

Flying Fives

 We go to flying fives in Room 10. We get to practice our social skills with each other.

AFL sessions

We are very good at AFL we are practising our kicking and pirate passing.

 

Free Fruit

We eat fruit everyday at school. Thanks to free fruit in schools. Yum, yum!
