Play dough

We learnt new words this week. We learnt overflow, consistency and level. We had to follow a recipe to make playdough. Some peoples play dough was sticky and some groups had a very little. They did not follow the recipe. Akifa

Who is in Our Class?

Today we had to find out WHO is in our class. We counted the boys and then counted the girls. We had to count on from the boys number to see how many are in the class. We have 25 children in the class. Chevylee

Ice cream

Who likes ice cream? We all love ice-cream. Mrs Millward used tally marks to see what flavour ice creams we like. Vanilla came second and first was OREO. McKenzy

Asking questions

We are learning to ask 'who' questions to help us understand what is happening. We first asked Mrs Millward questions about her meeting. Then we listened to our friends news and asked them questions.  Koura Beau

Birthdays

Today we talked about our birthdays. Lots of months have 3 birthdays. Only January has 2 birthdays. 4 months have only 1 birthday. No one shares the same birthday. Alistar

We are learning to talk about ourselves and say our pepeha. This is what we had to do and say first. Ko Fala Ahau. E whitu oku tau. Fala

Holidays

In the holidays we went to watch my dads friend sing. He sang heaps of songs. My mum and brothers and sisters went too. Paris

Treaty Cloak - Korowai

This is our Maori Cloak, our Korowai. We made it to show we all agree to our class treaty. We wrote our names just like they wrote their names at Waitangi a long time ago. W agrees to work together and help make Room 1 the best class ever. Mercy.

Room 1 Class of 2018

This is our new class. Mrs Millward is our teacher and we are in Room 1. We are using iPads to do our learning this year. This is going to be a fantastic year.
