School Assembly

Hi I am Fotu. I got a certificate for Reading. I am learning to stretch words I don't know or skip the word and read on.  This makes it easy to read and talk about books and stories.

My name is Kahu and my certificate is for being able to talk about what I am learning. I can talk to a friend or to the whole class. I can also ask questions when I don't understand and explain my ideas to my partner.

River animals

We had to glue our animals onto the paper. We counted to see how many animals we had. Some were going left and some were going right. Wairaka.

We made river animals for our river. We had to put them in the water, beside the water or above the water. I didn't like that the bird was in the water. My teacher said she would put something under the bird so it can fly above the water and won't touch the water. Davud

A healthy river

I know that you must look after the streams and rivers so that animals can live there. If it is dirty they won't want to live there. Koura-Beau.

No More Eels.

Everyone was looking for the eels at Johnsons Reserve. But I think they got tired and went home. Their was a small waterfall and lots of plants at the reserve. Sasuke.

Finding Eels

We went to look for eels. I saw 3 eels. Ms Taylor said that it must be a healthy stream because I could see eels. I will take my family to see the eels. Rosalili.

Dunkirk Reserve

We were walking to Johnson Reserve. We walked past the park. I looked at the river and I looked at the park. I will help pick up rubbish if I go play at the park with my family. Paul

Storm Drain by the river

I saw a storm drain that comes from the school to the river. I don't want to throw rubbish down the storm drain and let it go into the river. Davud

The river

We went for a walk along the river. We saw storm drain just like at school. We saw some birds flying a round. It was a good walk because we couldn't find rubbish. Well done Panmure.  Koura-Beau

A good day at Assembly

It was a good day at Assembly. We all got certificates and CARE awards.

Trash to Fashion

I am making a pattern with the blue tops on the t-shirt for O'Ninesha. I am adding 2 yellow and 2 green bottle tops. Marcaiyla.

Newspaper skirt

I am making a newspaper skirt for O'Ninesha to wear. It is something we can do with newspaper and not let it go down the storm drain. That is how we look after where we live. Wairaka

I am helping Mrs Millward find and collect all the blue milk bottle tops. We are going to put it onto a t-shirt for O'Ninesha to wear. She will hhave (wear it at Assembly. Parish

Only rain down the Storm Drain

We watched a show in class about Freddy the fish. Freddy said that only rain must go down the storm drain. We went outside to find the storm drains at school. Mahdi
